"Come and See" Dinner
Jesus turned, and saw them following, and said to them, “What do you seek?” And they said to him, “Rabbi” (which means Teacher), “where are you staying?” He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where he was staying; and they stayed with him that day. -John 1:38-39
Every parish in the diocese has young men seeking to follow Christ as they prayerfully discern their vocation. When we are joyfully living out our lives as priests, it attracts others to the priesthood. I first started seriously praying about the priesthood after a priest told me he believed that I would make a good priest. The fact that this priest thought I would be a good priest had a profound impact on me.
If there is a young man in your ministerial assignment that you believe would make a quality priest, please invite them to join you for a “Come and See” Dinner, a no-pressure way for a young man to discover more about what it is to be a priest. Those invited should be at least a junior in high school or older.
If you plan to invite someone from your parish to come, please contact us to reserve a place at the table: firstname.lastname@example.org 816-714-2382
